Payments and Communications

Arbor

We are a cashless school, and it is therefore vital that you have access to an Arbor account in order to pay for things like school trips and given your consent.

Once your child has started at the school please visit https://login.arbor.sc and click Forgot your password? to finish setting up your account. Your username is the email address we’ve sent this email to. To finish creating your account you just need to set a password and enter your child’s date of birth.

The Parent App can be downloaded from either the Playstore on Android phones or the App Store on iPhones.

Please turn on notifications.

Once you have an account you can:

• Pay for school trips, swimming and school meals (applicable to children in Yr3 and above) etc.
• View your outstanding balances for meals, clubs and trips
• Book and pay for Early Birds Breakfast Club sessions (if applicable)
• Monitor your sessions and balance for The After School Club (if applicable)
• Book your child onto teacher-run clubs

Medical Tracker

This is a programme that we use to record illnesses and incidents:

•       We can record and track first aid incidents that involve your child effectively

•       We can record and track medication administration that involves your child

•       You can be notified immediately after a first aid incident by email

•       You can be notified immediately after medication has been administered by email

Medical Tracker is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all contact information will be kept private and will not be passed on to any other organisation.

Email messages will be sent from donotreply@medicaltracker.co.uk.  Please add this address to your email address books (or approved sender list) to prevent messages from being blocked by your SPAM/JUNK filters.

Your Details

It is vital that we have an up-to-date email address and contact phone number for you for all these methods of communication, so please remember to update your details in your Arbor account if they change.

Hard copies of communications will also be available from the school office on request.

CLASS TEACHER CONSULTATIONS

We have two formal parent meetings during the school year. These are booked via your Arbor account and information will be sent out in advance. The first is held in October to discuss your child’s general progress. The second meeting is held in the spring term, usually around March or April. This concentrates on your child’s work, which is available for you to see. There is an additional open evening in the summer term where you will have the opportunity to discuss your child’s end-of-year report, which is sent home towards the end of the summer term.

Newsletters

We send out regular newsletters with information about what has been happening in school, as well as upcoming dates for your diary.

Class Dojo

ClassDojo is a school communication platform that teachers and families can use to communicate and share work through photos, videos, and messages. The class teacher will send you an invite to join your child’s class.
