Isle of Wight 2023

We are really looking forward to our Year 6 residential trip to the Isle of Wight.

Children will need to arrive at school for 7:30am on Monday 10th July ready to depart promptly at 8:00/8:30am.

Day 1

We have arrived at our hotel safely!  We thoroughly enjoyed the ferry trip, taking in the views and the sea breeze.  Once we arrived we went for a walk down to a local park and played some games.  Later today, we will be going down to the beach before enjoying our first dinner together.

Our hotel is safe and clean and we are getting settled into our rooms.

Night 1- The Beach

Once we had settled in and got ourselves sorted, we were ready for the beach!  We ended up very sandy but had lots of fun- even if it was a bit cloudy!

Day 2- Robin Hill

We have had an action packed day at Robin Hill Country Park!  We enjoyed the 4D experience to start with before taking to the tree tops in the Tree Top Trail!  Before lunch, we experiened the falcon show, seeing lots of birds of prey up close before heading down to the sides and toboggan run!  Finally, we climbed the squirrel tower and bounced around!  Tonight we will be heading to mini golf!

Mini Golf

After dinner last night we made our way to mini golf.  There were lots of 'holes-in-ones' and a few that took a few more goes but we all had lots of fun showing off our golfing skills.

Day 3- Black Gang Chine

We have been busy today spinning around and making a splash!  There were water slides and twisting rides!  We also explore the wild west, underwater and pirate kingdom!  Another day of fun before we are off to the theatre tonight!

A Night at the Theatre

Last night we had a great time at the Shanklin Theatre.  We were engaged in a story from the past and joined in with singing and dancing the whole way through!

Breakfast Time!

We thought you might like a little glimsp into our dining room!  This is breakfast time!  There's lots on offer for us- cereal, toast and a hot breakfast every morning too!  Some of us are just starting, whilst others had already finished before the camera made it to them!

Day 4- Monkey Haven

Today we spent the morning at Monkey Haven.  We enjoyed a tour finding out lots of information about different primates, their history and how they live.  We also saw some birds, reptiles and meerkats.

Day 4- Tapnell Farm

Unfortunately due to high winds, we were unable to do the chair lift and boat cruise however we didn't let that dampen our spirits and have had an action packed afternoon.  We enjoyed zip-wiring, air pillows, crate slides, go karts, trampolining, animal petting and much much more!  It was a bit harder getting photos of everyone as we were all on the go, in action the whole time!  We are having some down time ready for our final night and disco!
